The staff ignores most of the questions that guests ask. Even the mods. I do have to cut them a bit of slack though since they are working on the server 24/7 trying to change it and add new things that will be removed next week. Oh well, what can I do? They took my mod, and I still take up that responsibility of answering guest questions the best I can.
The server is doing great. I love to see a figment of my imagination become real with every passing day. However, you do change the server way too much and I know quite a few people who hate servers that change their spawn every few days. If you want to change, wait a week or two, have a vote on whether or not you should keep the spawn (Let the public vote, not a staff only vote), and if they want to keep it, then keep it. If not, then make a new spawn. Sorry if this is long, boring, etc.
I like to be thorough.
As Head Developer I have to strongly disagree. Mainly due to the fact you have not been provided with full information this is a server full of staff and you need to think about time zones here. A vast majority are from the U.S. meaning not everyone plays at the same time. Also for a server that has just started it has done quit well. Referring back to the developer does not develop any thing I am afraid yes they have. I have developed a discord page with PROGRAMMED Bots and I am in the middle of making a plugin right here.
And yes this server was in a bit of a state (grief attack) and it was looking wonder full before. If you wish for further information please look at the video (search cyberorigins and click videos
I understand your point, but that only really touches on two of my points at all. I wasn't complaining about how you weren't busting at the seams with staff members, that would be stupid. I see now that I was wrong about the development part, but I still stand by my original points at this moment
I joined to get a general freebuild server. After a few seconds of being satisfied, I immediately was greeted with too many reasons to never go there again. As nobody else has commented, I'll be the first to explain why I wouldn't suggest this to anyone I know.
First of all, the server is really understaffed, which can be justified, but then you see the people that they have recruited among the total: A developer that doesn't seem to develop, many staff members that constantly get into arguments over insignificant things, and there's only one good builder in the server, but that doesn't mean that he's the one building things for the server, made specifically for freebuilding. I'm attempting to understand that maybe you accepted people into the staff because you were short on people, and they were "funny memelords" in the Discord or something similar, but being a Mod, it seems that instead of trying to fix the problem when you see it, you just leave it be, which was the main thing that made me never want to come back, even though I had been on the server for all of 2 hours. Furthermore, I couldn't get many answers about anything until there was one staff member and one member, me, and he was great, but then other people joined and it started becoming less great.
In addition, the server is extremely bare in all of the wrong ways. It's missing a lot of stuff for the community to use, like a free items area that doesn't have all corrupted chests, or a proper NPC area. It doesn't have things like /history, /rollback, and many other things that a server "might" need to be successful in any merit. While he's a good person, the developer for the server doesn't seem to do a lot of developing, and even if he is, it doesn't seem to be the right kind of developing, as the server is two weeks old and has almost nothing past some of the basics. There isn't a way to properly make a ban appeal, which isn't too much of a problem, given that most people won't get caught by your lack of player-base and the history plugin.
I'm not giving a number, because it doesn't properly cover everything in a responsible way, but if you're too lazy to read the whole thing, I'd say that this sums it up: This server, while trying to be a good server, doesn't have the fundamental basics or adequate staff to pull it off yet, although they're advertising themselves this early.
